Keystone Christian Schools

Christian School for grades PK-12 in El Paso. In the TEFA finder. Here's how the funding lines up, what the public record says, and the questions worth asking.

Where this comes from. TEFA participation comes from the Texas Comptroller's participating-school finder, checked October 12, 2026. Enrollment and religious affiliation come from the NCES Private School Survey (U.S. Department of Education). Neither source reports tuition, so get current tuition and fees from the school.

What the account adds up to over 13 years, kindergarten through grade 12, at the 2026-27 amount

On October 12, 2026 we found Keystone Christian Schools in the Texas Comptroller's list of TEFA participating schools, which means an Education Freedom Account can pay tuition here. The 2026-27 award is $10,474 per student, sent to the school through Odyssey in three installments: a quarter on July 1, another quarter on October 1 and the final half on February 1. Participation requires accreditation from TEA or a TEPSAC-recognized accreditor, at least two years in operation, and a norm-referenced test each year for students in grades 3 through 12.

This school tells the state it offers special-education services or focuses on learning differences. A TEFA student whose IEP is on file with TEA brings a larger account: for a Canutillo ISD resident, roughly $15,912 to $17,008 for the IEP settings used on regular campuses, never more than $30,000.

This school enrolls pre-K students too. The full TEFA award covers a 3- or 4-year-old who meets a state pre-K criterion, and in El Paso the most common are limited English proficiency, free or reduced-price lunch eligibility and a parent on active duty. Kindergarten carries no extra criteria, so a funded child can usually stay on.

Ask about church-member, pastor-family and sibling rates. The state's tuition guidelines require a participating school to keep offering those to TEFA families, and a school run by a congregation may be eligible for the Edu Fund partner scholarship, open at any income.

What to ask the school

  1. Do you take TEFA, and how do you hold a seat for a family whose award comes late?
  2. What does my child's grade cost in tuition and required fees, and which of those fees can be billed to the account?
  3. Do you offer parish, church-member, military or sibling rates, and what aid is available for any balance?
  4. Can you bill on the state's schedule of 25% in July, 25% in October and 50% in February, or do you need a deposit from us first?
  5. Which IEP settings and needs do you have room for, and do you bill on-campus therapy as a school fee?
  6. Are you an approved TEFA pre-K provider, and do you take child care assistance for after-care?
  7. Which dual-credit partners do you use, and can those course fees come from the account?
